1. Rupee-dollar gap is at new highs.
2. Oil prices are going low as demand in China is falling day by day.

We were never a manufacturing economy; we have been historically a service oriented economy, so this rupee-dollar gap will create more & more jobs in India…bcoz most of the companies are into cost cutting mode, so they are bound to transfer jobs to low cost regions.
So a 2% job cut in west is bound to create at least 0.5% more jobs in low cost economies like India.
Also we have already proven our cost effectiveness by launching chandrayaan, a similar project at NASA was 23% more expensive.
The only sector which is having a negative impact of this rupee-dollar gap is manufacturing especially those businesses which import their raw materials from America or Europe.

Oil prices are nose-diving….which means government is spending much less money to buy it from oil producing nations…so this extra money can be put to improve our infrastructure.
Oil as an input to most of infra projects; initiating such projects would not only help government to improve the standard of living of the country masses but also create more jobs in these difficult times.

As far as I see the rate cuts by RBI & other central banks around the world to infuse liquidity into market, will surely make a impact.
But it’s only gonna shorten the period of recession, so a couple of years in recession is what I predict.
As far as I m concerned I too have started cost cutting. I have postponed my Andaman & nicobar as well as Sri-lanka trip (it was to be a adventure trip)…But I wanna save cash too :)

message for all people of my generation(in their mid twenties) use this time & cash to upgrade ur skills, rather than keeping ur cash in banks & having sleepless nights, so that when good times return u can take off to new heights using this newly acquired knowledge.
